                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 801 VINE
                   STREET, BEING ON THE NORTHEAST LINE OF VINE
                   STREET AT PALMETTO STREET, FROM R-4 SPECIAL
                   ZONE TO C-1 HIGHWAY COMMERCIAL ZONE, SUBJECT TO
                   CERTAIN CONDITIONS.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
               
                A tract of land located at 801 Vine Street, being
                on the northeast line of Vine Street at Palmetto
                Street.  Lots 63 and 64, and 65, block 6, Fort Wood
                Addition, as shown by plat of record in plat book
                1, page 4, ROHC; being the property described in
                deed book 3189, page 407, ROHC.  Tax Map No.
                146A-E-20.
               
         from R-4 Special Zone to C-1 Highway Commercial Zone.
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this rezoning 

         shall be subject to the following conditions:
        
              1.   Applicant must use as inn and restaurant only;
        
              2.   14 guest rooms only;
        
              3.   78 restaurant seats maximum;
        
              4.   obtaining variance to parking requirements;
        
              5.   any retail sales shall be incidental and accessory to 

                   the inn and restaurant only; and
        
              6.   all existing easements are retained.
        
        
              	   SECTION 3.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, as
         required by law.
